This is a mission trip that focuses on the poor and needy that live in the Old Fourth Ward (Martin Luther King's original neighbor-hood) and puts team member's faith in action. We will be ministering to kids, homeless and hungry, people caught in the sex trade, drug addicts, and everything ion between. We will minister with, and under the direction of Atlanta Dream Center - a church built on serving the community. They have ongoing ministries and relationships throughout the Fourth Ward, and we will work with their regular ministries.
Team members need to be High School graduates and at least 18 years old. This trip is especially suited for 'twenty-somethings', but anyone young at heart is welcome. They need to have a relationship with Jesus that is displayed in their lifestle, and a willingness to serve lost and broken people.
Great lengths are taken to keep us safe and protected. Thousands of team members have worked on these streets over the last four years without an incident, but this is still a trip requiring much prayer and street smarts. Training ahead of time is mandatory as we prepare our hearts for a very "foreign" culture - right here in our own country.
