Here are some opportunities for you to reach Here, There and Over There with the Good News that our lives are given meaning through Christ and His sacrifice. We encourage you to pray about where God might be calling you to serve. Once you have done that, take the next step to become involved by contacting the team leaders listed below.

Harvesting non-perishable items for the hungry in Beaufort County.
People from LCC bring food on specific Sundays and leave shopping bags at their car bumpers - we then distribute to local ministries. We need logistical and distribution volunteers at least 4 times a year.
We are looking for Harvest Coordinators who will oversee the process of LCC education, publicity, and collection teams. They will also see that the food is delivered to the appropriate charities on the next day.
We are seeking Harvesters that will help on the Sunday of the Bumper Crop. They will pick up food during each service and put it in trailer. We then need people who will help deliver food the next day. This usually takes about an hour. For more information, contact Bumper Crop Food Drive Coordinator, David Jenkins or at 843-301-4078.
2012 Dates for Bumper Crop - Feb. 12, May 6, July 22, October 7
BBQ KREW
“Taste and see the Lord is good…” In this ministry, instead of a cup of cool water, we hand people tasty meats right off of the grill- in Jesus’ name. We can show up all over the community just to surprise people with Jesus’ love by giving them free BBQ. We need cooks and KREW members - people ready to smile and serve!
This ministry is not just about feeding hungry people, it’s about showing up just about anywhere there are people- just to show them God’s love. All the free food we give away comes from a Fund that must be maintained with occasional fund raising events. We do BBQ sales at church as well as do the occasional community food event that will generate income (i.e. Bluffest or music events).
For more information, contact Joe Friesen or at 843-836-1101.

ROWKIDS - Reaching Our World's KIDS
ROWKIDS is committed to changing the world by breaking the cycle of poverty. We accomplish this enormous task by focusing on children and providing educational opportunties for them to better their lives and the lives of their families. Education is the key that opens the door to higher wages in poverty stricken countries.
ROWKIDS identifies economic and physical obsticles that prevent children from continuing their education and then works to remove those obsticles. Sometimes it is simple such as providing educational scholarships to schools or school supplies or uniforms. Sometimes it is more difficult and partnerships with families and extended families to get the children closer to the educational opportunities available within their own country.
For questions or information, contact John Eve at john@rowkids.org or 843-301-5949.
